My EPC is out of date, do I need to get a new one?

The BUS grant is only applicable in England and Wales. If you are based in Scotland, please refer to our article on the Home Energy Scotland (HES) grant.

After paying your deposit, we will submit an application for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant on your behalf. Part of this application includes providing the details of your EPC, which must be less than 10 years old to be valid. You can check your EPC on the gov.uk website.

If your EPC is expired or you do not have one, we will ask you for:

•  a utility billed, issued within 3 months that confirms your energy source

• a picture of your existing heating system

for the application. If this applies to you, we will notify you by email.
