What do I need to do to prepare for my Design Consultation?
To get the most out of your consultation, it helps to have a few things ready beforehand.
If you can, gather any details you know about your home, like:
-
Insulation (type and thickness, if you know it)
-
Windows (type, age, glazing)
-
Layout and how you use each room
And if you have any low-carbon tech such as solar, batteries or EV chargers, it’s helpful to mention it.
On the day of the Design Consultation , it really helps if you can:
-
Clear some space for the room scan (normal furniture is fine)
-
Know where your fuse box and meter box are
-
Have your MPAN number handy (find this on your electricity bill)
-
Pull up your smart meter data if you have it
It’s also worth thinking about where you’d like the heat pump and cylinder to go.
That being said, your Heat Geek wiIl guide you through the process and answer any questions you have. You can also watch the videos on the Heat Geek consumer series on YouTube beforehand to maximise your time slot with your Heat Geek.
